What fuels superheroes? Drive, passion, strength, courage, love, selflessness? Yes, and that’s just the start for frontline healthcare provider powerhouses. But even superheroes need a snack break that nourishes them body and soul! So Kakookies and several local food companies grabbed our masks and capes and partnered to create the MN HERO SNACK PACKS!
We learned of this opportunity to help in response the first frontline hero, Dr. Erica from Bethesda (dedicated COVID hospital in MN) who noticed that her fellow staff members needed easy access to snacks during their long shifts and no time to go to grocery stores.
In just the past couple weeks, we are so incredibly amazed at the movement the #MNHeroSnackPack has created! This week, the Hero Snack Packs will feed 1500+ medical workers at 14 different medical facilities with soul filling quality snacks to help these frontliners power through their long shifts.
For Kakookies, we are grateful to provide the comfort of a cookie and the nourishing ingredients for heroes near and far.
We are humbled by the people that have donated to this campaign to make this possible! It’s incredible to see our MN community come together in this way.
If you or your business are interested in ways to partner and extend the reach to this program, here are WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
1. Donate using this link: http://Tinyurl.com/mnherosnackpack
2. Connect us to staff members at hospitals that can tell us what they need and possibly come pick up product.
